About
Rose Bard-Jensen, FNP, serves our community by providing guidance for prevention of acute and chronic illnesses to her patients at Western Arizona Family Practice in Fort Mohave. She helps patients obtain optimal health and wellness through: education regarding proper diet, activity and lifestyle modifications; performing physical assessments; ordering necessary diagnostic tests; and creating individual treatment plans.
Rose became a nurse after losing her sister to complications of a severe burn, seeing first-hand the compassionate and skilled care patients require in the hospital. After more than 16 years as a bedside nurse, Rose went back to school to become an advanced practice registered nurse (nurse practitioner), with the ability and credentials to provide day-to-day health care to her patients.
She treats minor illnesses and injuries such as flu, pneumonia, UTIs, abdominal pain and gastroesophageal reflux. She also provides treatment for sprains/strains and offers women’s healthcare, assisting with family planning needs such as birth control. Rose also cares for patients with chronic illnesses such as diabetes, high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, COPD, asthma and obesity. She will see patients after ER visits and hospital admissions. Rose provides personal care through collaboration with patients, families and specialty-specific providers when necessary.
